The CYPRUS 2025 Conference focuses on advancing sustainable solid waste management through innovative technologies and safe practices. The Conference, focusing mainly on modern solid waste technologies, aims to bring together and engage scientists & professionals from government departments, industries, Municipalities, private institutions, and research & education institutions by sharing recent advancements in municipal solid waste management. Key topics include source separation, biological treatment, central facility processing, biowaste utilisation, recycling, waste-to-energy solutions, sludge management, and specialised waste streams like construction and electronic waste. Emphasis will also be placed on circular economy practices, valorization of waste into valuable products (e.g., biofuels, compost), and cutting-edge sustainable energy options such as hydrogen and solar technologies.
This conference will bring together experts from government, industry, academia, and local authorities, creating a platform for exchanging ideas and best practices. A special full one-day workshop will also focus on representatives of local authorities and municipalities to promote integrated solid waste management schemes.
A Call for Papers is foreseen, inviting authors to submit a two-page extended abstract in English by December 31, 2024. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings, with selected high-quality papers eligible for publication in scientific journals. Full papers will be due by May 14, 2025.
