Rte de la Grande Levée, 17450 - Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée, France
The Assemblée Permanente des Chambres d’Agriculture (CMDS) will host a demonstration day on 23 June 2025 in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée, France, providing a valuable platform to explore innovative fertilisation practices developed within the WalNUT project.
The day will begin at 9:00 in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée, and the presentations will cover the objectives and progress of the WalNUT project, with emphasis on practical outcomes for the farming community.
This event is aimed at farmers, advisors, scientists, and other stakeholders interested in the transition to more sustainable agricultural practices. Participants will gain insights into the early results of both projects, with a particular focus on the use of bio-sourced fertilisers as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional fertilisation methods. While most attendees are expected to be French-speaking, a dedicated English-language session will be held concurrently to accommodate international participants.
Following a lunch break at 12:00 p.m., the event will continue with an on-site field tour starting at 1:30 p.m., offering a firsthand look at demonstration plots showcasing the application of bio-based fertilisers on municipal land. The tour will conclude with a debrief session at 3:30 p.m. back at the municipal hall.
The demonstration day offers an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, discover new approaches to fertilisation, and engage with ongoing research efforts under EU-funded initiatives. It will serve as a meeting point for local and international stakeholders committed to advancing sustainable agriculture.
