On 23 June 2025, the Assemblée Permanente des Chambres d’Agriculture (CMDS) hosted a WalNUT project demonstration day in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée, France. The event served as an important platform to present innovative fertilisation practices developed within the WalNUT project, with a strong focus on practical applications for the farming community.

Attended by farmers, advisors, researchers, and other stakeholders, the event featured presentations on the project’s objectives, progress, and early results. Discussions centred on the use of bio-sourced fertilisers as a sustainable alternative to conventional methods.

Participants also took part in a guided field visit to local demonstration plots, where the application of bio-based fertilisers on municipal land was showcased. The day concluded with an open debrief and exchange session, which allowed attendees to reflect on key findings and share their perspectives.

The demonstration day contributed to WalNUT’s broader mission of promoting sustainable agricultural practices across Europe and strengthening collaboration between local and international actors engaged in transitioning to greener fertilisation strategies.
