The WalNUT Project is launching a series of webinars to engage stakeholders and experts in its mission to promote sustainable nutrient management.
With the growing demand for food placing pressure on soils and natural resources, WalNUT focuses on recovering nutrients from wastewater streams and transforming them into bio-based fertilisers.
The first webinar on 17 December 2025 will introduce the WalNUT Platform, an interactive tool developed by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) that facilitates stakeholder matchmaking and provides a knowledge repository on agricultural nutrients from secondary resources. The second webinar, taking place on 14 January 2026, will present BBFs as a sustainable alternative to mineral fertilisers, based on the WalNUT White Paper, offering key insights, technical and socio-economic perspectives, and recommendations for nutrient recovery and adoption across the EU.
